The European Ladies Golf Team Championship is an exciting new international tournament where teams of two lady golfers will compete over four rounds, in four days, on four of the most famous and exclusive courses in southern Spain: The San Roque Club, Alcaidesa, Almenara and Valle Romano.
The tournament will take place from 30th June to 3rd July 2011 and is a “first of a kind” opportunity for amateur lady golf teams from across Europe to compete against one another for the title of ‘European Ladies Team Champions.’
The competition has a cumulative handicap limit of 48 per pairing, ensuring that all levels of golfer are catered for. The format will be individual team stableford, with each member of the team recording a stableford score off full handicap. Both scores will then be added together to give a team result at the end of each round. These four scores will then be combined and the team with the highest score will be declared champions.
Prizes will include sets of bespoke irons, holidays at NH hotels, clothing from Golfino and Adidas, the use of super car for the weekend and many more.
One of Europe’s leading female teaching professionals, Lucinda Davies, will be on hand for those whose game might need a ‘quick fix’, and the experts of Designer Golf are standing by to cater for those who want the ‘Jimmy Choo’ of bespoke golf clubs! Pre-tournament trips to play the courses with Lucinda can be arranged.
Away from the golf course, ladies will be accommodated in either the four-star luxury of the NH Almenara Golf Hotel & Spa or the NH Sotogrande which offer an indoor spa, sauna, steam room, plunge pool, relaxation room, 2 jacuzzis, treatment rooms, hairdresser and a well-equipped gym, plus excellent beach-side facilities including a private bar and four swimming pools.
For those who fancy something different after their golf, we can provide a range of activities from cruises on a Sunseeker yacht, to a Sotogrande polo experience or some traditional Spanish flamenco.
