San Roque Ladies Newsletter
Week ending 30 June 2019

My apologies for the delay in producing this newsletter. As you are no doubt aware Elisa’s father passed away on Sunday and she will be away from the club for a few weeks. Sincere condolences go to her and her family. RIP Noel White.

I also apologise for this newsletter not being in Elisa’s format – I need a few lessons before I can produce something similar.

Last weeks roll up results :
On Tuesday 10 ladies played and the roll up was won by Penny with 33 points, followed by Agi in second place with 32 points and Liz Desmond in third place with 31 points.

On Thursday it was a mixed roll up. Jeremy was the overall winner with 41 points. The best placed lady was Liz Desmond who was joint 5th with 36 points, closely followed by Pat French with 34 points.

On Saturday the San Roque leg of the quadrangular was due to be played. Unfortunately it was called off when a member from Las Brisas collapsed and passed away on the practice green just before the event started. Patrick Sheridan was 81 and suffered a collapsed lung. Our condolences go to his family.

This week there are the usual Tuesday and Thursday roll ups and the fourth leg of the Quadrangular at Sotogrande. Those chosen to play will be advised by Alicia.

The following weekend, 13/14 July, there is the Parkinson’s charity tournament on Saturday and International Day on Sunday. The list for the Parkinson’s tournament is on the board and the list for the International Day will be on the board by the weekend – please support these events.

On Tuesday 25 June the Commission met – there are some very exciting plans being proposed for the Club and I am sure that the club will share these with you in the not too distant future although as nothing is finalized yet a formal communication is not appropriate – as soon as it is you will get details.

Have a great golfing week.
