San Roque Club has hosted the Andalusian Women’s Interclubs Championship during two days, a test that is always successful and that this year has broken records with a total of 32 teams competing for the win.

The RCG Guadalmina team, integrated by Christina Birke, Rosaleen Cunningham and Joyce Heyster of Wytt, has been the champion with a total of 340 shots. The ladies champions took advantage of the 81 shots of Joyce Heyster Wytt, the best round of the first day, to get with the victory the second day.

After them, and with three more shots, the players of the RCG Sotogrande, Minna Kaarnalahti, Beatriz Ramírez de Haro and Mª del Mar Villanueva have been proclaimed runners-up. Minna Kaarnalahti led last day in her team, signing the best round of the day (81).

Regarding the handicap classifications, La Cañada Golf Club has occupied the first and second place. Thus, the players of Guadiaro club, Julia Chacón, Josefa Gil and Mª Jesús López Cortijo, have accumulated 299 net shots. With the same result, they have occupied second place in the classification Ana Vega, Montserrat Pérez and Jutta Niedermair.

After the competition, the prize awards was chaired by Carmen Carmona, Member of the RFAG Ladies Committee; Lidia Muñoz, Director of Marketing and Operations of San Roque Club; and Alberto Bueno, Chief Referee of the Tournament.
